 PADI Mermaid

  • Eligibility: Designed for aspiring mermaids aged ten and above.

​

  • No Prior Experience Required: Entry-level course that requires no prior diving experience.

​

  • Swimming Requirements: Demonstrate ability to swim at least 50m/160ft without aids and comfortably float for 5 minutes at the surface.

​

  • Course Phases:

    • Knowledge Development: Engage in independent study with PADI Mermaid eLearning.

    • Confined Water Sessions: Dive into two confined water sessions to learn essential mermaiding skills and rescue/problem management techniques.​

​

  • Dynamic Maneuvers: Master dynamic mermaid maneuvers such as dolphin (butterfly) kicks, C-shape, and U-shape side turns.

​

  • Unique Skills: Discover unique skills distinct to mermaid diving, including backward somersault turns, underwater handshaking mermaid bubbles, and elegant back glides.
